At Heartspace Art, we believe in the power of art to heal, uplift, and ring comfort, especially in times of hardship. Recently, we had the honor of working on a deeply meaningful project for a family navagating the emotional journey of a loved one diagnosed with ALS.

The matriarch of this family, a loving mom and grandmother, always dreamed of retiring to live by the beach. Having visited the coast many times, she cherished the idea of spending her golden years by the shore, where she could wake up to the sound of waves and enjoy peaceful walks on the sand. Due to her illness, this dream of seaside retirement has been reimagined.

To bring a piece of that dream into her daily life, we created a mural that transforms the living room into her personal seaside escape. Every detail of this beach scene was carefully crafted to provide a sense of tranquility and joy. Now, each day, she can look at the mural and feel as though she is right there on the shore, surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the ocean.

This project was more than just a mural for us; it was an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone who deserves peace and happiness as she continues her journey. We are incredibly humbled to have been able to bring this family’s vision to life, and we hope that it brings a sense of comfort and joy.

Heartspace Art is honored to create wall art that transcends mere aesthetics, aiming instead to evoke emotions, memories, and the essence of what truly matters in life. The opportunity to create meaningful works of art, such as Farina's portrait, serves as a reminder of the power of art to encapsulate love, joy, and the beauty of human connection. As Derek unveiled the painting on Nicole's birthday, the artists at Heartspace Art felt a profound sense of fulfillment, knowing that their creation would serve as a cherished symbol of love and remembrance for years to come.

Artists on this project: Ian Cleary, Tracie Thompson and Danielle Cleary
